Aren’t they gorgeous? I had the pleasure of photographing these 5 cousins on a recent Sunday morning. What a sweet family. Enjoy!

Back at Work Again – Yippee!!

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

And here I swore I wouldn’t let the blog go and I have. Well, I’ve had good reason. I never want to relive June 2008 again…. ever!!! We put our house on the market, sold it in six days, had a 30 day close, but were unable to find a home. Then in the middle of packing the old house to put into storage Spencer got very sick and ended up in isolation at Children’s Hospital. He was the boy in the bubble and I was the mommy in the bubble with him 24/7.  Then we moved 2 days after he left the hospital and life has been nuts ever since. Spencer’s fine now, but he was a sick little guy for a total of 13 days. We had the entire infectious disease team at St. Louis Children’s Hospital scratching their heads. We’ll never know what was wrong but he’s well and happy and that’s all that matters. Here’s my precious boy for those of you that have never met him.

So, we have a new house, but we’re still homeless. Okay, it’s not that bad. We’re living with my dad until our new house is move-in ready. We hope to be in the new house before Spencer starts school. But I don’t have a studio set up yet. My internet access is dodgy. And all my files are in boxes between my dad’s house, the new house, and a POD stored somewhere in a warehouse in Earth City.

Because of all of this upheaval the business has been on hold the first half of 2008. But I’m back now and my August calendar is already jam packed with sessions. I thank everyone for being so patient during this crazy time. That’s the problem with a one-woman operation. If that one woman goes down, everything stops!!

So I’m back. Ready to take amazing portraits again. I’ll post some recent sessions in the next few days, so check back soon. And feel free to comment. If you don’t comment I don’t know if you’re looking at the blog!
